Glebe Primary School

Glebe Primary School is set within an idyllic location in the heart of Southwick, West Sussex.

We are extremely proud of our school. Everyone here at Glebe is committed to delivering the very best education for every single one of our children.

We want to provide the best learning experience possible here at Glebe. We work hard to equip each of our pupils, to the best of our ability, with the knowledge, skills and understanding so that they may develop fully as individuals who are able to NURTURE, INSPIRE and CHALLENGE themselves and others around them.

The School Day

The school and school gates open at 8.25am.  We have entrances on Kingston Lane and Church Lane, which can both by used at this time.  Kingston Lane gate is closed at 8.40am, so please use Church Lane entrance to enter the school throughout the day.

The school day begins at 8.30am and this is when classrooms open.

Children in EYFS have outdoor playtime as part of their provision.  The rest of the children have a 20 minute playtime mid-morning.

Lunchtimes

Nursery: Nursery children eat in class

Reception: 11.45am to 12.45pm for Year Reception (YR)

Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) & 2 (Year 3, 4, 5 & 6): 12.00pm to 1.00pm for all other years  

In the afternoons, children in KS1 will have PE lessons or another mini activity break mid afternoon.

Gates open at 2.55pm.

School ends at 3.00pm for all children.

N.B. There is no parking on school site.  There is parking available near the school on local roads and we therefore advise parents to park further away and walk in.
